Late George II Period Mahogany Partners’ Desk ex collection Walter Chrysler
Late George II period mahogany partners’ desk, in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. The carved top surrounds gilt-tooled green leather. One side of the desk is composed of three frieze and six pedestal drawers, with the reverse side with three frieze drawers above pedestal cupboards. The ogee feet carved with an acanthus motif, with the drawers and cupboards with gadrooned cockbeading.

Provenance: ex collecton Walter P. Chrysler, and sold May, 1960, at Parke-Bernet Galleries in New York, and by descent to the current owner. The auction catalog to be sold along with the desk.
