George III Mahogany Bureau Bookcase
George III mahogany bureau bookcase, in the manner of Wright and Elwick. The dentil, lappet, and quatrefoil decorated frieze surmounts astragals containing original glazing. The bureau section contains original rococo handles and key escutcheons, with the bureau interior with checker-strung drawers, and ‘hidden’ drawers decorated with boxwood tracery above the pigeon holes.
